Trim your wick prior to each use (excluding the first). Remove charred wick from previous burns by pinching the top of the wood with fingers or using a wick trimmer. 

Always burn candle within sight and away from flammable objects like curtains, etc. Keep away from children and pets. Only burn the candle on a level, fire-resistant surface. Container may become hot - take care in handling the jar after burning. Do not burn candle for more than 4 hours at a time.
